Comixology is giving away for Free 700 Digital Downloads including Marvel’s #1s. I counted only 688 of actual Marvel Titles. 

Ok… finding 700 Free Comics is rare. And not always so easy. The site is incredibly slow when I visited it and got a few errors. But it will be worth the trouble when you have that much eye candy and reading material.

Instagram: Android Doesn’t Need You (TOP Five Camera Apps)

There are so many photo filter apps available, why is Instagram so popular? I’ll tell you why, iPhone is the answer. The iPhone camera hardware is one of kind and it’s damn good. Android hardware is one big old mess and the quality differs for each smartphone manufacturer. Which is a good reason for Instagram not to expand it’s community of mobile photographers by adding Android, Blackberry, or Windows app stores is a little weird. And frankly, Android doesn’t need Instagram.

Throw-away Society

*Warning* This article is completely my opinion.

I live in United States of America and I live in a Throwaway Society.  I’ve watched a lot of documentaries convincing me that most US citizens have a screwed perception of reality, as most people care more about technology and things versus their physical health.  And as I write this, I can’t stop myself from changing, I’m one of those people! Electronics, Appliances, Furniture, Cars, Food and god so much more we all just replace throw away!

A Perfectly Good Photo

In the current cell phone market, only three smartphones (my opinion) that have a top notch camera worthy of ditching your compact camera:  Apple 4S, Samsung Galaxy S II, & Nokia N9.  The camera on those phones are shockingly good.  All three of their app markets have photo altering applications.  The one I’d like to focus on is the most popular:  Instagram… strangely only available for Iphone!!  I listen daily to the 404 podcast, so this article was inspired and dedicated to Jeff Bakalar and the404 team.  I recall Jeff expressing a couple times that he can’t fathom why people take perfectly awesome photos with their smartphone camera and ruin them with some old timey kind of effect.  I believe he also said, “in the future, people will look back at us and think for a long period of time why people uploaded a lot of crappy looking pictures”.  Well I have an answer for Jeff.
